During New Year’s Eve, many people get out and live it up at their favorite party or at a special destination. Others stay in, line up the Netflix, and get as comfortable as possible. For those of you who want to end the year with a bang, let’s  look at some items that can damage your New Year’s Eve plans.

  • Driving – Just say no. The best idea is to plan in advance for a taxi, Uber or Lyft, These type of designated drivers abound these days. There is no reason to take any chances behind the wheel, even if you only have one drink. Even if it is costly, plan ahead to because the alternative is not worth it.
  • Fireworks – Everyone loves a good fireworks show, but please leave the explosives to the professionals. At parties, it is best not to produce your own show. Watch, but do not touch.
  • Parties – Everyone wants to enjoy NYE celebrations, but realize that, as the meme says, “nothing crazy ever started with a salad.” As fun as New Year’s Eve parties are they can get out of control quickly. Remember, “Party Wisely.”
  • Alcohol – Many party-goers will be drinking on New Year’s Eve. Be responsible when consuming alcoholic beverages. Things can easily turn bad when someone gets out of control with their alcohol consumption.  Being aware of your surroundings at all times is importance and too much alcohol can impede that process.
